COUNCIL CHAMBERS CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORY

District of Lake Country

Until recently The District of Lake Country had been using an older conference system and was looking to upgrade their council microphones and audio throughout the main chamber and secondary room. The older system consisted of a sixteen delegate and one chair station.  Updated processing, in ceiling speakers and an amplifier was also required.

THE CHALLENGE

The District of Lake Country's main challenge was that their council tables were mobile and have many room configurations. This poses a difficulty managing cables, microphone position and flexibility. The room was also on ground level which made coring for cable runs cost prohibitive.

THE SOLUTION

The proposed system incorporated Shure’s MXCW wireless system with their native WAP. This ensured that for any configuration or setup, the system can be arranged in any way and no cables were required and the microphones synced flawlessly. With having a 10-hour run time and spare batteries, the system was an ideal choice. The new processor was a QSC Q-Sys Core 110F, 4 channel QSC amplifier and speakers for zone control between the chamber and secondary rooms.  Utilizing QSC scripting and deployment licenses made this system design very functional, easy to use and scalable for future requirements.

We worked closely with the Districts IT department to ensure that their requirements and expectations were met. Once the installation was completed, the Districts IT department had no problems controlling and using the benefits of their new system. They were very satisfied with the delivery and service by Matrix Video Communications Corp.
