CONNECT FIRST CREDIT UNION – CALGARY, ALBERTA

CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORY

CORPORATE CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORY

Award-Nominated Office Space

Connect First Credit Union is an Albertan credit union created from four different divisions—First Calgary Financial, Chinook Financial, Mountain View Financial, and Legacy Financial. These divisions have been in business for over 75 years, and they are spread across 41 branches in central and southern Alberta. They offer in-person and online banking services to over 125,000 clients with the intention of facilitating their members’ financial goals.

THE CHALLENGE

When companies move into new buildings, they have two options: transfer their audiovisual equipment to the new space or upgrade to a better system. Connect First Credit Union opted for the second choice and decided to refresh their audiovisual systems in their new building in Calgary, Alberta. Specifically, they required new presentation and conferencing equipment.

THE SOLUTION

This was a full design-build project. Matrix designed, supplied, and installed all audiovisual equipment for Connect First, while working with the interior designers, electrical engineers, and contractors. We also provided user training and quick-start guides to guarantee the Connect First team felt completely confident with their new equipment.

The individual components implemented in this project include the following: NEC monitors, Sony projectors, Polycom conference phones, Polycom microphones, and Crestron control systems.

The scope of this project included a variety of different rooms, such as small and large meeting rooms, huddle rooms, a café space, and more. Each room has specific technical features to suit its environment and needs. For example, meeting spaces were equipped with an NEC monitor as well as a Sony projector to enable presentations. These spaces also included necessary conferencing equipment—conference phones and microphones—to enable effective collaboration across branches as well as with clients. On top of controlling the audiovisual equipment in each room, the Crestron systems are also used for room scheduling.
