OECM-Approved AV Solutions: How Matrix Supports Ontario’s Public& Education Sectors

Updated: Jan 13

Matrix Video Communications Corp. is proud to reaffirm our position as a Supplier Partner with the Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace (OECM). Matrix is listed as a qualified vendor for the supply and installation of Digital Signage, Digital Scoreboards, and Audio-Visual Systems Solutions, and is one of only two companies to serve all zones of Ontario in all three categories. This partnership enables publicly funded organizations across Ontario to procure audiovisual, digital signage, and communication solutions through a compliant, competitively sourced procurement framework.

As procurement requirements continue to evolve in 2026, OECM remains a critical vehicle for education, municipal, and broader public sector organizations seeking efficiency, transparency, and value, while working with trusted, pre-qualified suppliers like Matrix.

What It Means to Be an OECM Supplier Partner

OECM Supplier Partners are selected through a rigorous, competitive process to ensure alignment with the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive. For OECM customers, this means:

  • Simplified, compliant procurement without issuing a standalone RFP

  • Pre-negotiated pricing and contract terms

  • Reduced administrative burden and faster project timelines

  • Confidence in supplier qualifications, service delivery, and accountability

OECM’s collaborative sourcing model allows member organizations to focus on outcomes—not procurement complexity.

Why This Partnership Matters in 2026

Public sector organizations face increasing pressure to modernize spaces while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Through the OECM marketplace, Matrix helps organizations:

  • Accelerate procurement for AV and digital communication projects

  • Control costs through transparent, competitive pricing

  • Adopt modern, scalable technologies aligned with hybrid learning and collaboration needs

  • Meet compliance requirements without added internal workload

As digital communication becomes more central to learning, engagement, and operations, access to qualified AV partners has never been more important.

GLB to OBJ provides a clear path for Ontario's public sector to access compliant AV solutions. It's interesting to see that Matrix is one of only two companies covering all three categories province-wide. This framework seems especially useful as procurement needs evolve.
