MVCC Broadcast Projects

Rogers Place Arena

Matrix Video Communications was contracted to supply and install two major systems in the new Rogers Place Arena, the VPF - Video Production Facility - (Broadcast) and IPTV (Digital Signage). Both scopes required an incredible amount of coordination within our company. The Project Managers for each scope brought years of experience and expertise in their respective fields, and worked with the client for years, planning and designing each system. Matrix not only provided project management but also the systems design, CAD drawings, equipment procurement, complete installation, commissioning, training, documentation packages, and on-going support.

CanAlta Centre

In January 2015 Matrix Video was awarded two separate contracts ($1.2M) contract to design, supply, install and commission a turn-key HDTV Video Production Control Room (VPCR) and all the Broadcast Cabling Infrastructure (BCI) at the brand new Medicine Hat Regional Event Centre, now known as the CanAlta Centre. This amazing arena is the new home of the WHL’s Medicine Hat Tigers Hockey Club as well as hosting a variety of events for the citizens of Medicine Hat and surrounding areas. We were very excited to be a part of this project as it sets a benchmark for in-house video technology for CHL facilities across Canada.
