Matrix Video Communications Corp. was recently awarded the contract to act as the turn-key vendor for the supply of equipment, labour, installation material, programming, testing, training and support of the Audio Visual System for the Taylor Family Institute of Teaching and Learning at the University of Calgary. This contract includes many collaborative spaces and classrooms equipped with the very latest in technology and is meant to demonstrate to existing teachers how to integrate the use of technology in everyday teaching.
Matrix worked on the project for seven months, including pre-wire, and was on-site for four months. This job was a complete collaborative effort from our installations team, with members cycling through for this project from every office across Western Canada. We used kilometers of cable, and have taken advantage of our large Calgary warehouse to pre-build and wire racks prior to transportation to site. Final testing and training is now taking place and we will have completed the project approximately two weeks prior to the originally forecasted completion date.
